3D Model

Now the concept is finished it is time for the 3D model! Wish me luck!

Finished Concept

Here is my finished concept. Not with much adjustments compared to the last post. Here is just the elemental with some special effects and more shading/highlights. 

Adjustments Concept

Here is my concept again with a lot of adjustments. Ofcourse like I told you in the last message, I changed the head to be less of a boulder head. So this is what i came up with. I also have a document filled with only more heads that I can show later. I also changed the body. Here it look more like a spider then a big mountain instead. So it can be more agile trough the mountains. And ofcourse i added some more highligts and shading. The next post will contain my finished concept in total.

 

This is my first design of my conecpt for the elemental creature. In my opinion its going really well and how I wanted it to be. I only concider making some changes to the head making it a bit smaller and sharper instead of this big boulder head. And besides that I have to make a decision of how I am going to make the teeth. Original teeth of a spider are really flowing and round shaped. But since mine is rock shaped I really wanted a better design for the teeth to make it look as one whole creature thats really a rock of the same pillar for example. So I wanted the teeth to have a really rock shape to. So here is my concept so far. I will update as soon as possible when it is done. 

My idea and my work so far

Here is my refrence to earthen material. In this case I chose the rock elemental. I had some ideas to do shape the model with these so called "stone forrest trees". They have a really detailed and sharpe shape. I also really like the look of this photos also to use as texture for the 3D model. All I did for now was looking for other monsters that were made in the past. And other materials even more detailed information about the other elementals. Of what I wanted to do, to trigger my mind and look for a possibility.

My idea is probably going to be a big earthen spider. With elemental gems on the back and really big legs in the shape of for example, one of the mountains you see on the picture. And the head get a big rough shape. I hope I can work on this very fast and hope to finish it to. I want it to be very detalied as you can see in my refrence.

Elemental Project

For this time we have a new project we are working on at school. The objective is, to create a elemental monster in 3D. I will be posting a lot about this project to show you my ideas and reffrence materials. After that you will get to see my workflow on how I establish the 3D model. The specifications can be seen bellow.
